MY APPROACH

My goal when photographing each event is to quietly observe and capture the moments of your day without staging them. I work in a candid style, documenting the story as it unfolds. I am not a traditional photographer, meaning I do not do posed portraits with fancy lighting. I believe people are beautiful and should be photographed as naturally as possible. I love what I do and I think it shows in my work. I have a passion for catching genuine emotion and real human interaction. The end result is pictures that capture the true spirit of your special day.

MY STORY
I have always loved photography. Since I was a young girl, I've been taking pictures. Capturing all the events of my life - big and small. Growing up, my grandmother always took pictures of us kids and I think her love of picture taking carried over to me as well. Little influences here and there. I always found myself drawn to pictures in magazines, clipping them and hanging them on my wall. I loved people. I loved faces. I loved photography!

Wedding photography was not something that I set out to do with my life. If someone had told me ten years ago that I would be doing this today, I would have laughed. I originally started my business, A Picture's Worth, with scrapbooking in mind - to design custom albums for people. As time went on, I began to lean more toward the photography aspect and turned my focus to that. Thanks to friends and God opening the right doors at the right time, I began photographing weddings. Now this is all I want to do and I love it.

I have spent the last several years honing my photography skills, shooting lots of weddings and getting to know so many wonderful couples and their families and friends. It's been a huge blessing to me!

I am so thankful to God for giving me this talent and this business. I would be nowhere without Him. I owe everything, all that I have, all that I am and will ever be to Him.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in ALL YOUR WAYS acknowledge Him and HE will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5-6

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord; plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
